NEW YEAR RESOLUTION , by Ronny Tan
(Sabtu, 27 Desember 2008 @ PPGKJP)

Why need new year resolution?

A. Concept of Time

1. No Control of time (Ecclesiastes 9:12, 6:12)
--> No body knows what will happen on future
2. Work while we still have time (John 6:4)
--> This is our prime time as youth with soul and energy to chase our dream, our vision, our ministry for God
3. Make most of our opportunity, as days are evil (Ephesians 5:16, Psalms 90:12)
--> When time is a thing which can't be replay, we should consider time as an opportunity to repay the worthless in past.

B. Purpose of Life
1. We are created for God's glory (Isaiah 43:7, Ephesians 2:10, Colosians 1:16)
--> This is a general purpose for Christians, and the next duty is looking for our particular purpose, the VISION, God's calling to be, which is unique for oneself.
2. We have responsibility to God for our life (Romans 14:12)
--> Will you finally be a good and loyal servant in God's eyes?

Here are Questions to be meditated on year-end:
1. What did i learn?
2. What did i accomplish
3. What would i have done differently and why?
4. What was my greatest contribution to... (friends, families, church)?
5. What was my biggest challenge?
6. How am i different from last year?
7. How did i grow, improve and expand myself?
8. For what am i particularly grateful?

And here are seven Spiritual Questions to evaluate your life (by George Sanchez):
1. Do i know Christ more intimately now than i did a year ago?
2. How have i grown this year, in letting the Word of God and spirit of God, guide my life, mind and decisions?
3. What victories in temr of character issues has God given me over the last year?
4. How am I doing in reflecting love in my relationship with people?
5. Is my consicence clear in matters of personal desires, such as use of time, money, food and sex?
6. Do i have unresolved conflicts with people that need to be addressed? what actions should i take?
7. Are my priorities an honest reflection of what i say is important in my life?

Guys, Let every breath exalt and glorify our God!

-love, beth-
